Recently, we launched the DHL UK Foundation’s strategy 2025-2030, reaffirming our commitment to addressing  youth unemployment. Through our GoTeach partners, we will continue leveraging the passion and skills of DHL employees to deliver employability activities for underserved young people.

We are delighted to welcome two new GoTeach partners: Lift Schools and The Talent Foundry. Lift Schools, one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the country, and The Talent Foundry, an education charity dedicated to increasing social mobility, share our mission to unlock opportunities for underserved young people. They will help us to intervene at secondary school level (11-18 years old) which is a pivotal point when young people begin to explore their career paths and get ready for work.

Through Lift Schools’ large network, we will work intensively with selected secondary schools, supporting their mission to overcome regional disparities in education by closing the ‘destinations gap’. We are excited to enhance their careers strategy by aligning the GoTeach programme to their curriculum. Our partnership with The Talent Foundry will address barriers to employment, by working with schools across the UK to inspire and empower young people, equipping them with the confidence and skills they need to thrive in their careers.

Both GoTeach partners will adopt a three-session framework. This new model will provide each young person with at least three employability sessions throughout the year, moving beyond a single interaction with an employer. Research has shown that a young person’s outcomes significantly improve when they engage in three meaningful sessions over a one-time engagement[1].

DHL employees will continue to share their knowledge and apply their skills when delivering classroom-based activities at selected partner schools. Additionally, we will continue collaborating with the DHL business to host site visits, bringing the world of work to life for young people. Lift Schools and The Talent Foundry will provide ample support to DHL volunteers before and during the GoTeach sessions, ensuring that every intervention is beneficial for the young people and a positive experience for the volunteers.

The DHL UK Foundation will be in touch in the coming months with opportunities for DHL employees to sign up to GoTeach activities. In the meantime, if you have not already done so, you can register your interest to volunteer with GoTeach by completing our GoTeach sign-up form. If you have any questions, please email GoTeachUK@dhl.com.
