Celebrating DHL’s hidden Community Heroes!

Every year DHL employees across the country do amazing things in the communities in which they live and work – and this year was no different. The seventh annual Community Hero Awards were held at the Oxford Belfry on Friday 17th June 2016, over 20 individuals and groups from across DHL took to the stage to be recognised for their fundraising and volunteering contributions to local charities and community groups.

The generosity and dedication of DHL colleagues truly shone through – below are a summary of this year’s winners and runner’s up and please click here for a selection of photos from this years event:

Unsung Hero Award 

Winner: Dan Stokes (DHL Supply Chain, Sainsbury’s, Dartford)

Runner’s Up: Keith Jones (DHL Supply Chain, Sainsbury’s, Bristol) & Neil Weller (DHL Freight)

Volunteer of the Year Award

Winner: John Forester (DSC Retail, M&S)

Runner’s Up: Mark Gilchrist (DHL Express) & Robert Smith (DSC Automotive)

Volunteer Group of the Year

Winner: DHL Freight UK

Runner’s Up: Keeley Tennant/NHS SC team & Jonanna Jurkenas/DHL Express team
